Summer’s last ditch effort to blast us with some brutal end-of-season heat continues for the remainder of the work week, with highs sizzling in the mid 90s. Drier air hanging out in the Valley as a ridge of high pressure builds in will help suppress rain chances with only a 10% chance of a stray shower at best over the next few days.
In the afternoons, lingering humidity will help push feels like temperatures closer to the triple digits. More moisture gradually returns closer to the weekend pushing rain coverage up to 20% during the heat of the day, but overall temperatures will still run well above average. Finally looks like we could see a little relief from the heat by next week as a front parks out across the Southeast, giving us a better chance of showers and storms.
For now though, the summer heat presses on even as we approach the Autumnal Equinox this weekend!
