COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Rainy weather will continue to be an issue over the next few days, with deep tropical moisture moving in from the Gulf of Mexico interacting with a cold front that’s moving in from the NW. The front will move into Georgia tonight, but will hit the brakes just north of us and stall, eventually washing out. As a result, rain chances will be in the 40-60% range for the next few days. Associated cloud cover will keep our highs in the 80′s the next few days. Rain chances will trend downward this weekend as the Bermuda high builds back in from the east, and high temperatures will rise back into the 90′s--which is well above normal for this time of the year. Warm weather looks to continue well into next week.
