Voters in Columbus decide in favor of earlier alcohol sales on Sundays

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Restaurant guests in Columbus will be allowed to order alcohol on Sundays, an hour and a half earlier than what’s now permitted.

The Sunday “brunch bill” was approved by a 66 to 34 percent margin. The bill allows alcohol sales in restaurants to being at 11 a.m. on Sundays instead of the current time of 12: 30 p.m.
