Man convicted of killing Auburn University student in 2008 returns to Lee Co. for hearing

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A man convicted of killing an Auburn University student will be back in a Lee County courtroom.

Courtney Lockhart is set to have an evidentiary hearing hearing Dec. 17. He will be transported from Holman Prison to Lee County three days prior to the hearing.

Lockhart was found guilty of intentional murder during the course of a robbery.

CORRECTION: In an earlier version of this story, we erroneously listed a conviction for rape. Lockhart was not convicted of rape. WTVM regrets the error.
