PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - After the Central High School Red Devils won the state championship last week, a celebration took Thursday in Phenix City.
The Red Devils took on the Thompson High School Warriors in the state championship football game and won 52-7.
Supporters celebrated at Garrett-Harrison Stadium.
"We’re just so proud. We couldn’t be more proud of our coaches and our students who’ve worked so hard to get here. We see them work hard day in and day out, and this year they just came out and crushed it and we’re just so proud of them. Cant say anything else,” said Zach Thornton, a teacher at Central High.
“I love Central and I’m just really proud to be here, be a part of it, and say I was a part of that student section. So go Devils,” commented a Central High student.
