UPDATE: 2 suspects arrested in Columbus for armed robbery on Ladd Street

Heavy police presence on Ladd Street in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two suspects were arrested Wednesday for an armed robbery on Ladd Street in Columbus.

Kyron Sharp, 19, and Patrick Emerson, 20, are both charged with armed robbery.

According to police, the victim was robbed at gunpoint at a home in the 2700 block of Ladd Street. Police say there were a number people at the residence and a negotiator was eventually able to have all occupants exit the home without incident or anyone being injured.

In addition to the armed robbery charge, Sharp had several outstanding warrants for his arrest to include credit card theft, four counts of financial transaction card fraud, aggravated assault, three counts of armed robbery, three counts of possessing a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and theft by taking.

Police also conducted a search warrant of the Ladd Street residence and located in excess of 125 grams of marijuana. Charges are pending in this discovery.
