COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Much quieter weather in store for the start of the week—and starting off much cooler too, thanks to the cold front that swept through yesterday. Expect a brisk northwesterly breeze around today with gusts up to 20 MPH possible. Though temperatures will run below average for Monday, a warming trend takes over starting tomorrow putting us back into more seasonable territory for Tuesday and then well into the 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.
Clouds gradually move back in by the middle of the week, setting the stage for another round of rain and potentially strong storms rolling in Thursday evening into Friday morning. We’ll keep an eye on the chance of any severe weather for you, of course. Another strong cold front associated with the incoming storm system will put us even chillier than now heading into Easter weekend with highs possibly only topping out in the 60s Friday into Saturday, and lows well into the 40s over the weekend. Some clouds may linger for Sunday, but for now Easter Sunday looks sunny and seasonable.
