New four-way stop to be installed in Troup County

TROUP COUNTY (WTVM) - Heads up to drivers in Troup County- a new four-way stop is being installed this week.

Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Road construction crews will install a four-way stop at the intersection of Georgia 219/Mooty Bridge Road and Wares Cross Road/Cameron Mill Road. intersection

Work is expected to start at 8:00 AM on Tuesday and continue throughout the day.

GDOT says the new signage and flow will help to improve traffic through the intersection.

Officials do not anticipate closing any lanes but urge motorists to slow their speeds through the work zone and be alert to any sudden changes in the situation.
