COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police need your help locating two inmates who escaped from a Muscogee County prison detail around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to Muscogee County Prison officials, the inmates left the Lake Oliver Marina recreation area near River Road.
Their names are Gregory Michael Walker and Herman Freeman.
Walker is decribed as being about 32-years-of-age, standing about 5'9 and weighing about 145 pounds. He was serving a six year sentence for first degree forgery. His sentence started back in the end of March of this year.
Freeman is described as being around 33-years-of-age, standing about 5'7, and weighing about 178 pounds. We're told he has brown eyes and black hair and tattoos on both his right and left arms.
Police tell us the men may have gotten away in a white Mazda convertible. It has a Georgia tag number of 3063ATF.
