DETROIT (AP) — FX says a new drama series called "Lawman" will debut next spring and is based on the character Raylan Givens created by veteran crime novelist Elmore Leonard.
The cable network says 13 episodes have been shot for "Lawman."
The show stars Timothy Olyphant in the role of U.S. Marshall Givens, an old-fashioned lawman who was featured in Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole."
Leonard will serve as an executive producer.
Olyphant starred in HBO's "Deadwood" and has also appeared in a number of films, including "Hitman" and "The Girl Next Door."
