SEALE, AL (WTVM) - Fireworks are usually a part of Fourth of July celebrations, but more people are looking for more "booms and bangs" to ring in the new year.

"Firecrackers, bottle rockets, Roman candles, sparklers, 500 grams, artillery shells, everything," Wanda Lamb, also known as The Bang Bang Lady told News Leader Nine that's what most people are looking for.

To welcome in 2010, many people are looking to get a little more bang for their buck.

Allie O'Neill and her boyfriend Patrick Brown said, "Lots of bang bang and boom boom. We're going to put on a big show for the neighbors."

Shoppers were out searching for the best firework deals in town.

"I really like the buy one get three free. They have good prices," Brown added,

Wanda Lamb and Mary Williams help locals celebrate New Years in style. Lamb said, "We try to keep our fireworks stocked up pretty full for our customers and pray they come see us."

And despite the weather, customers were pouring into the Fireworks Outlet. Brothers Cody Kirton and Dean Paradise said, "It's our family tradition, we do it every year. We're buying lots of fireworks because it's New Year's Eve."

So whether it's a night with the family or you're throwing a big party, the ladies on Highway 431 are helping people have a happy new year, "I'm going to be bang bangin' and boom boomin' until midnight."
