COLUMBUS, GA - Valley Rescue Mission will hold its Christmas Holiday Assistance Sign-up for Christmas toys and holiday food baskets in the chapel on the corner of 2903 Second Avenue and 29th Street, in Columbus, as follows:

October 11th through 15th (Monday – Friday)

October 18th through 22nd (Monday – Friday)

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Working Parents Signup – (must bring proof of current employment)

October 16th and 23rd (Saturday)

10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Parents are reminded to bring their children's social security or Medicaid cards, proof of income, disability documentations or separation notice, rent/mortgage receipts, and current utility bills.  Grandparents can only signup their grandchildren if they have legal custody documentation.

Applicants are only eligible for assistance from one area helping organization.  Each year Valley Rescue Mission gives toys to over 1,500 area children and food bags to 800 families. For more information contact Valley Rescue Mission 706-322-8267.
