COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Two Fantasy's stores in Columbus, one on Veterans Parkway and the other on Milgen Road, have been the target of ongoing undercover operation and Friday, drug agents seized boxes of banned bath salts from shelves.

The head of the Metro Narcotics Task Force, Lieutenant Charles Kennedy, says the Georgia Assembly has made the synthetic bath salts an illegal narcotic but some stores have still been selling them.

For the past three weeks, undercover officers have been going around and buying the salts which Kennedy says are being abused- smoked like crack, injected and snorted.

Our cameras caught police during their sting operation at Fantasy's Friday, confiscating a variety of different kinds of bath salts from inside the businesses.

Lieutenant Kennedy showed WTVM one bag of evidence. A small pack of bath salts cost $60 and a large pack cost $80.

Three employees at the Fantasy's locations were arrested and charged with violations of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act.

Metro Narcotics Task Force members say their investigation is ongoing and they expect to make more arrests in the near future.
