Halloween Prank Sends Teen to Hospital

Halloween took a scary turn for one Columbus teen.

A 13-year old boy was waiting for his mom to pick him up from a Halloween party in the Green Island Subdivision, Saturday night at 11:30p.m. on Standing Boy Road.

Before the mother arrived at the residence, someone had shot the teenager in the stomach with a pellet gun and drove away.

The victim’s mother said her son was severely injured and was taken to St. Frances Hospital.  The bullet is still lodged in the middle school student’s stomach and can not be removed without creating damage to his liver.

Police said they are searching for suspects who drove away in a small silver car.  If you have any information call the Columbus police.
