With a superstar welcome, once again, the Northern Little League team was recognized for winning the 2006 little league baseball world series.
This time by U.S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.
"We need to get something these kids can remember and go back on 42 years later and look at. What better than a flag that flew over the nations capitol and they are the world champions,"says Rep. Lynn Westmoreland,(R) Georgia.
An accomplishment many many of their peers say inspires them.
"They did what they wanted to do so that makes you think that you can do whatever you want to do if you just believe,"says Kayla Wilson, Student Blackmon Road Middle School.
"It feels good to know that people are looking up to us and we are roll models,"says Patrick Stallings, Northern Little League Third Base.
A feeling they hope will never fade away. Since their win in Williamsport they have enjoyed local celebrity.
When asked how they will look at their experience and the honor they received today some 30 years from now...
"I'm gonna think it was hanging up in the capitol and they gave it to us because we are world champions and that it's pretty big,"says Stallings.
Bigger than what most 12 year olds can fathom, but 30 years from now they'll look back and realize just how big a world championship is.
Aside from getting those American Flags that were flown over the U.S. Capitol they will also receive a copy of a house resolution honoring their championship victory.
Their next appearance will be in the parade this weekend for the Tuskegee/ Morehouse classic.
