Program Set Up To Feed All Students In Muscogee County

The "Breakfast For All" Program kicked off at Rigdon Road Elementary School this morning. The goal of this program is to allow all children to eat breakfast at no cost to the parents.

School nutritionist say "Breakfast For All" will be offered at a dozen Muscogee County Elementary schools in the fall. "We understand that when children are hungry their academic performance will suffer, just their performance in school will suffer, there are behavior problems, their late just not very good in school,"says Director of food Services, Jimmie Barnett.

The goal of "Breakfast For All" is to have all elementary schools participating by December of 2007.

Middle and High School students will be gradually added after the Elementary Schools.
