A former Columbus High School teacher has been indicted on sexual assault charges.
37 year-old English teacher Jim Cypert was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual assault in May.
Monday, the grand jury returned an indictment on three counts.
Jim Cypert is accused of having consensual sex with a female student who was 18 at the time.
Investigators say the sex was consensual, but the arrest was made because of the context of the student-teacher relationship.
No date has been set for a trial.
