AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) -- Shakey's Pizza Parlor opened its doors in Auburn, AL Friday, March 28th.
The ribbon cutting was held Friday morning at the restaurant's new location on Glenn Avenue.
This is the first Shakey's to open east of California in more than forty years.
The restaurant is decorated with a piano, signs, and even mugs from one of the very first Shakey's.
Shakey's Chairman of the Board, Bill Tilley said, "It appeals to everyone. Young and old, children. Great food, great value. You know it's a pretty special American combination and I'm confident it will be very successful here in Auburn."
In the first week, the Auburn Shakey's generated more revenue than any Shakey's franchise ever.
