COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two teenagers are under arrest, charged with over 30 residential burglaries in the East Columbus area.

Nineteen- year-old Omarkeon Kelley and another juvenile were arrested March 25th, during a burglary in progress off of Snellings Drive. They were charged in the crime, as well as for shooting at a police officer.

During the investigation, detectives discovered the two were responsible for 32 residential burglaries over the past several months, around the areas of Reese Rd, Forest Rd, and Snellings Dr.

Some of the stolen items were recovered, like TV's and other electronics, but detectives suspect most of the stolen merchandise has already been sold on the streets.

Both are in custody, and the number of charges will be determined by a grand jury.
