COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Churches all over the world had services Sunday, but one Columbus church held its first ever Easter service.

MyChurch opened its doors in January and went all out for Easter. They added church services, invited the Easter bunny, and held three egg hunts for the kids.

The young ones told News Leader Nine their favorite part of the day was the candy and the visit from the bunny. Even though the kids enjoyed hunting for eggs and spending time with their pal the Easter bunny, MyChurch Pastor Jeff Murphy, shared the true meaning of the day with a bigger turn-out of members than expected. He said, "We didn't know what it was going to be like. We're only 10 weeks old so we had three services today with Easter egg hunts after each and it was unbelievable. We had 800 people today."
