Valley Police Chief's Brother Speaks Out only to News Leader 9

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - New information on the police chief scandal in Valley.  The brother of suspended police chief Michael Taylor is calling the investigation into his brother a quote "witch hunt."

Chief Michael Taylor's brother, George Taylor released this statement to News Leader 9 Tuesday.

"I believe this is a witch hunt that is politically motivated. I believe some of chief michael taylor's subordinates as well as other individuals are making baseless and unfounded allegations that are without merit. We are not going to try this case in the media. There will come a time when all parties will go under oath and the real truth will come out."

Meanwhile the city of Valley continues to investigate claims of negligence and abuse, within its police department. Two claims have been filed with the city on behalf of two juveniles.

One of those claims alleges Chief Taylor poked a ten year old boy in the chest why telling him I can have you taken away from your parents and you will never see them again.

Chief Michael Taylor is still on administrative leave as of Tuesday night. The city has hired a private investigator to look into the matter. no word on when that investigation will be completed.
