COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  News leader 9 has an update on a Columbus home invasion that left a victim and a suspect with gunshot wounds.

Officers continue to guard twenty-six-year-old Quiton Turner at the Medical Center. He's in unsatisfactory condition and has several warrants stemming from the incident.

Thirty-year-old Allen Cohen, a victim, was treated and released.

It happened at the Southside Court Apartments Thursday night.

We're told Turner and another suspect were armed with handguns and bound up two people inside one of the apartments. The suspects then began searching the apartment when another person knocked on the door. That person, Cohen, was led into the apartment by the suspects inside.

Once Cohen saw the handguns and realized what was going on, he attempted to flee. That's when a fight between the two suspects and Cohen began. During the fight, Cohen was shot in the groin, and Turner was shot in the abdomen.

The uninjured suspect, 35-year-old Johnny Mays, fled the scene and was later captured around 1:00 p.m. Friday. He was questioned by police but has not been charged.
