TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -  A fiery crash on Interstate 85 has left a Canadian truck driver dead.

Officials say his tractor trailer crashed and burned Sunday morning.

It happened around 7 AM near mile marker 8, two miles north of the KIA exit on I-85 South.

Troup County Jeff Cook says the driver left the road for some reason, hit some trees and the truck burst into flames, burning him beyond recognition.

He is believed to be a 60-year-old man from Ontario, Canada.

The driver was going to Brundidge, AL at the time of the crash.

The victim's identity is not being released until the dental records come back from the GBI crime lab.
