Men sentenced for shooting toddler with assault rifle

QUITMAN COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -  Officials tell News Leader 9, on Monday, three men were sentenced to prison for shooting a two-year-old child almost six months ago.

The incident occurred at Sandy Lane on January 3, in Georgetown, GA, when the child was riding his toy scooter inside his home.

He was shot in the left leg from a round fired from an AK-47 assault rifle by a group of men across the street. Were told the three men connected to the gunfight were in a gang.   

Police say Jeremy Granger and Tommy Lee Ivory pled guilty and received a 20 year sentence with each having to serve 10 years.

Marques Ivory pled guilty and received a 20 year sentence with 180 days to serve in the State Probation Detention Center.
