Valley cotton processing facility catches fire

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Friday, the Norman Paschall facility caught fire in Valley, Alabama around 10:00 a.m. central.

The East Alabama Fire department called in assistance from Lanett and Huguley fire departments to aid in putting out the fire.

The mill was in operation at the time and the employees were evacuated.

We're told the fire was contained by the emergency sprinklers inside the building.  None of the workers were injured but a firefighter did get slightly injured by the heat.  He's doing okay.

This plant, located on River Road, processes cotton into insulation for automobiles.
