COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Two men are in the hospital after a shooting at a South Columbus strip club.

It happened at the Carousel Lounge on Victory Drive at 2:38 Sunday morning.

Columbus investigators say two men got into a scuffle inside the club and that's when 28-year-old Jermaine Sims pulled out a handgun and struck 31-year-old Trammell Calhoun twice in the hip and groin.

Police say Calhoun then tried to get the gun away from Sims and in the process, Sims was shot once in the chest.

Both were taken to the Medical Center. Sims is in the Intensive Care Unit and Calhoun is in stable condition. Officials say neither of their injuries are life threatening.

Trammell Calhoun is not facing any charges after the incident.

Jermaine Sims, however, will be charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
