COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are investigating two home invasions and one armed robbery that occurred early Thursday morning.

It's believed the same get-a-way car was used in all three crimes.

Police say around 1:20 a.m., two men wearing dark clothing, forced themselves into a home in Montclair Court in Columbus by kicking in the front door.

Witnesses say one of the men was armed with a handgun. Among the things the men stole was a black 2007 Kia Optima Sedan.

A car matching the same description was spotted at an armed robbery at the Waffle House at 6390 Flat Rock Road. The men, matching the same description at the previous home invasion got away with cash.

Then around 5:30 a.m., the men and the car were spotted at another home.  Witnesses say the men forced their way into a home on Milledge Court. The details of what was taken during the last home invasion are not known.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in all three crimes.

Investigators need your help solving this case. If you have any information on the whereabouts of the men and the Kia Optima, call Columbus Police at (706) 653-3400.
