HAMILTON, GA (WTVM) - A local group of teens is shaking things up in the name of the Lord. King's Pasture Community Church in Harris County has taken the typical view of a youth group and turned it into anything but ordinary.

Senior Pastor Gino Zalunardo told News Leader Nine, "We've created an environment and atmosphere where all people can come from all counties, high school, junior high and college. They come from LaGrange, Columbus, Manchester, Hogansville, all communities and all colleges."

"Our new motto is 13 to 30. Anybody who wants to worship in an awesome way can come."  Youth and Student Leader Brooke Strain added, "I've been in a typical youth group most my life and it was focused more on getting a good number of people and just having fun. But here we want people to come and learn the word and actually experience it in a new and different way."

"Most churches are looking to draw in Christians and people who are like them but we're reaching the crowd that's not going down the right path. We're grabbing the people who are on the wrong road," said youth member Brittany James.

"When you walk in you hear loud, energetic music with fog and lasers and a lot of energy," said Zalunardo.

His son Caleb is also a Youth and Student leader in the Vision Youth Group. Caleb added, "It's something to reach kids in an environment that kids are scared to show up to. Kids today aren't into traditional read the hymn book and sing along. Here you can express your emotions anyway you want."

"Just come Tuesday nights, it starts at seven o'clock. And it's one of the most phenomenal things happening in the community," everyone agreed.
