Major five-county drug investigation nets four

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)  - Columbus Metro Narcotics Task Force tells News Leader 9 four people were arrested following a drug bust.

Authorities say raided the homes located at 976 Patricia Drive and 1125 Floyd Road on Wednesday. They add the raid was the result of months of investigation.

Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Raines (AKA: Binky), 27-year-old  Donterrious Mays of Columbus, GA, 24-year-old Jackie Wilson, of Talbotton, GA, and 51-year-old Gwendolyn Bradley of Columbus were all charged trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, and theft by receiving stolen property (firearm).

Raines and Mays were charged and extra count each for trafficking cocaine, and Bradley was charged with a violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act for cocaine, and Wilson was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators say the suspects distributed drugs in five counties.

The following authorities joined forces: Columbus DEA, Muscogee County Sheriff's Office (GA), Harris County Sheriff's Office (GA), Taylor County Sheriff's Office (GA), Talbot County Sheriff's Office (GA), Russell County Sheriff's Office (AL), Columbus Police Department, and Phenix City Police Department (AL).

Authorities confiscated 8 pounds of cocaine -- with a street value of $400,000, and 18 grams of marijuana. In addition, about $30,000 and two firearms were seized during the raids. We're told one of the firearms was stolen from Lee County, AL.
