COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Good news for a Fort Benning soldier run over by a train.

Hospital officials say Captain William Keating is out of intensive care and in satisfactory condition at the Columbus Medical Center.

The 27-year old soldier lost one leg at the ankle and the other below the knee Friday.

Police say he was crossing 9th Street and Broadway in downtown Columbus around 1 AM when he slipped and fell.
