Pediatric acute care center to open in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An acute care center specializing in pediatrics will open its doors in north Columbus. 

Pediatric Acute Care of Columbus will open the first week of November.

The state-of-the-art, 2,700 square foot facility will be located at Columbus Crossing directly in front of the movie theater at 5555 Whittlesey Boulevard. It is currently under construction.

We're told the clinic will treat  broken bones, lacerations, asthma, flu, strep throat, dehydration, and all similar conditions.

The pediatric acute center will refer all follow-up care to area pediatricians. It will be open seven days each week, Monday - Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and on the weekends from  Noon to 8:00 p.m.
