Wellness program to hold free health fair

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  St. Francis Hospital sponsors a free health and wellness program for adults age 55 and older.  

It's called Primetime Seniors and this week the group celebrates its 2nd anniversary.

A health fair for members will be held Thursday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Wellness Center located at 2000 16th Avenue in Columbus, GA.

Participants will kick the day off with a walk around Lakebottom Park running track at 8:00 a.m.

Then at 9:00 a.m., the Wellness Center will open for free health screenings, food, entertainment and prizes.

The free screenings will be on a first come, first serve basis and will include checks for blood pressure, stroke, hearing, bone density and glucose.

 New members will receive a package with a membership card, calendar of events and a list of all member discounts and benefits.
