12 arrested in Harris County Drug Op

HARRIS COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -  A dozen people face charges in Harris County after a covert drug operation.

Officials with the Sheriff's Department say they received numerous complaints from citizens about street-level drug dealers throughout the county.

For the past month, investigators say they've worked with informants and bought marijuana, crack cocaine, and prescription pills from the alleged dealers.

Altogether the 12 face 22 felony drug charges and other misdemeanor charges.

Those arrested are: Phillip Gay from Pine Mountain Valley, Edward Martin from Pine Mountain, Kristina Stoddard from Waverly Hall, Jason Halley from Waverly Hall, Lorenzo Crawford from Columbus, James Milligan from Kathleen,GA, Melony Smith from Hamilton, Donald Hardaway from Fortson, Christopher Cooks from Pine Mountain Valley, Holly Blackmon from Cataula, Demarrio Ransom from Pine Mountain, and Charles Strickland from Columbus.

In a separate bust, Harris County authorities say they picked up a known drug dealer in Pine Mountain.

Officials say they found a gun, crack, and thousands in cash when they arrested 22-year-old Matthew Dunlap for theft.

Right now, he's free on bond but could face more drug charges.
