COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Twenty-three-year-old Brandon Floyd has been indicted by a Muscogee County grand jury in connection with a deadly shooting outside of a local barbershop.

Floyd is charged with involuntary manslaughter and weapons violations in the case.

Police say he shot William Cobb in the parking lot of a barbershop on Gunboat Drive back in April.

In the indictment, it says Floyd caused Cobb's death by pointing a pistol at him.

Court records show Floyd has waived his formal arraignment. Next up for him, is a docket call in Superior Court.
