COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police say they have been searching for 24-year-old William Tarver Sr. for a while. Officials say he has 25 outstanding warrants on him in Columbus, mostly for traffic violations.

When officers spotted him in a car two weeks ago and tried to pull him over, they say he took off into Phenix City.

A short time after that, Phenix City Police spotted the car and when they tried to pull it over, a high speed chase started. Officers boxed it in at a dead end and say the car charged at them, forcing them to fire shots.

Two juveniles in the car where arrested and charged with attempted murder but Tarver and another juvenile managed to get away.

But Tarver's time on the run finally came to an end in Columbus Tuesday.

Police say they spotted a stolen car on 10th Avenue driven by a man that matched his description.

When they tried to pull the car over, a chase started and suddenly, Tarver bailed out near 4th Street and made a run for it.

Officials say he took off through a cemetery, scrap metal yard, and trucking yard along 10th Avenue.

Columbus patrol officers, detectives, along with members of the tactical squad and special operations unit set up a perimeter and spotted Tarver going into an abandoned warehouse.

They found him underneath the building in a crawl space. Wet and covered in mud, Tarver was tazed and arrested.

Police are still looking for the fourth suspect from the Phenix City high speed chase.

As for Tarver, he faces 30 charges in Muscogee County and attempted murder charges in Russell County.
