COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - New details emerge in the death of a 26 year old mother-to-be. Autopsy results have come back and the coroner tells News Leader Nine that Jilani Platt died from a gunshot to the head.

The young woman was nine weeks pregnant when she went missing, and was later found dead in Columbus.  There are still a lot of unanswered questions  about what happened to the young woman and news leader nine tries to shed some light on what happened the night of her death.

While Jilani Platt's body is in Atlanta for an autopsy, her friends and family in Columbus are trying to help police piece together what events lead up to her death.

Police reports show that Saturday evening Jilani and her husband Zyderrious Platt were arguing through text messages about paying rent for their Crystal Court home. The reports also say that Jilani came home from dinner with a friend and the fight continued between the couple.

Police note on their report that  Zyderrious told them he left the home to take a drive and "cool off" and when he came home Jilani's car was in the parking lot, but she was gone along with her cell phone and keys.

Jilani's mother reported her missing Sunday morning, and an area-wide search started shortly after. That search ended Monday afternoon when officers discovered Jilani's body in a drainage pipe off Schataulga Road.

Her husband, Zyderrious, was already behind bars for a weapons charge, and police quickly named him the main suspect in her death and charged him with murder. His bond has been revoked and he remains in the Muscogee County Jail until his court date Friday morning.

The Muscogee County Coroner, Bill Thrower, will only tell News Leader Nine Jilani died from a gunshot wound to the head. We asked when Jilani may have been killed. We also asked what investigators learned about the baby she was carrying.   The coroner wouldn't talk about any of that.

Those results, though, will likely determine whether or not Zyderrious Platt will face more charges. Zyderrious is currently being held in the Muscogee County Jail without bond and will appear in Recorder's Court Friday morning.
