Major Meth Investigation Leads to 26 Arrests

LEE COUNTY, AL - On Monday, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Opelika Police Department, Auburn Police Department, Tallapoosa County Sheriff's Office, and the Chambers County Sheriff's Office arrested (26) twenty six individuals on drug related arrest warrants associated with methamphetamine drug related charges. 

These arrests stem from a (3) three month long drug investigation that targeted individuals who were purchasing over the legal amount of pseudoephedrine. 

The following people were arrested:   

Bobby Dale Vaughn (46), of Salem, Alabama

Daniel Mclaughlin (29), of Opelika, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor

Kelly Estelle Ison (21), of Auburn, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor

Shane Allen Burch (33), of Auburn, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor

Tami Leigh Yates (36), of Opelika, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor

Daniel Tammer Denny (23) , of Opelika, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor

Iris Suzanne Deas (41), of Valley, Alabama
One (1) count Unlawful Possession of a Precursor (M)

Jason Scott Helms (35), of Opelika, Alabama

    The baby’s mother used heroin and prescription pain medication during her pregnancy, and the baby was born addicted to drugs, police say.
