COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -Base Realignment on Fort Benning, or BRAC, is bringing lots of jobs to our area.

Now, Fort Benning has a new feature on its website. There's actual lists of jobs available on the military installation, whether you're a federal employee or not, some for teens too.

"One of the job lists will have something to be a waiter on the installation or to be a lifeguard or jobs all the way up to being a logistics person," Fort Benning public affairs officer Anthony Bryant said.

If you're unsure how to apply for these jobs, Fort benning's website also shows you a straight-forward way to do that. The job lists are updated every Friday.

The website is: https://www.benning.army.mil/mcoe/content/employment.htm

And for veterans in need of work, there's an upcoming job fair.

On Wednesday and Thursday, VFW Post 665 will host a joint program by the Columbus Career Center and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Both days, the job fair runs 9am - 1pm.
