COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The bankruptcy case involving Bill Heard Enterprises could soon be approved by a judge.  A hearing is set for Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Alabama, in Decatur.

If a judge gives the plan the green light, Heard's remaining assets will be liquidated and creditors will be paid at some point.

This includes dozens of former employees who filed a separate class action lawsuit, for severance pay that's now being resolved as part of the bankruptcy plan.

We spoke with one such former employee, Cynthia Hall.  She was among the hundreds let go last September when the dealership shut its doors.

Hall says she's hoping to soon see some relief.

"I'm just going to school right now, I have been unemployed since the doors closed at Bill Heard so it would really come in handy for me."
