Columbus files motion to get re-listed on

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  The legal battle continues between the City of Columbus and online travel companies.

Attorneys representing the city have filed a motion for a permanent injunction to get Columbus hotels "re-listed" on Expedia's website.

The filing comes just a few days after the Georgia Supreme Court ruled in favor of the city for a second time, this time in its suit against

Currently, if consumers log on to Expedia or and search for hotels in Columbus, the sites pull up hotels in Phenix City, Alabama. 

This has been the case for a while, since the city has been locked in a legal battle with the online travel companies over tax dollars and how they're remitted to Columbus.
