COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Residents at the Crystal Place apartments off Macon Road say news of the deaths of Tyesha McNair and Terrence Clark is rattling to this close-knit community.

"It was two females that stayed there. They were fairly young, but they were good people," said neighbor Paul Works. Two woman may have lived in this Crystal Place apartments, but only one was the victim of murder. Neighbors gathered outside their homes this morning when news spread of a shooting.

Tuesday morning Works told News Leader Nine, "All I know is we have two young male and a female. Apparently they got shot."

The deaths of 21 year olds Terrence Clark and Tyesha McNair come just a week after their neighbor Jilani Platt was found dead.

"It's sad. A real tragedy, that something like this can happen over here in a neighborhood like this. It's a good quiet neighborhood and unfortunately this is the second incident that's happened," added Works.

Now residents, like Works, have to mourn the loss of two more friends and wait for police to offer up some answers, "It's very quiet. Everybody in this community gets along and we're like one big family."

Police tell us both Tyesha and Terrence died of multiple gunshot wounds. They also tell us there were no signs of forced entry and at this time a motive is unknown.
