COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Discount Prescription Drug cards will now be placed inside Columbus' 12 fire stations. Tuesday, City Council approved the measure allowing companies to place the cards in fire stations for people to voluntarily pick up.

They also decided not to allow the city's logo on the cards as previously printed with CVS Pharmacy on the back.  The move came after David Lovett at North Columbus Pharmacy complained that the city appeared to be endorsing a particular company by placing its logo on the discount drug card.

"It looks like we've come up with a better solution," says Lovett.  Lovett told News Leader 9 he is not sure if he will have discount cards from his pharmacy on hand at the fire stations.

The goal with the cards is to help the uninsured and under-insured.
