COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A South Columbus resident says she was robbed in her home.

46-year-old Annie Grimes says she took her children to school Tuesday morning and when she returned to her house on Swann Street off Cusseta Road, she noticed her TV was turned off. She had left it on when she left for her children's school.

She tells police she went to get the house phone from one of the bedrooms and when she was walking in her living room, she was approached from behind by a black man who pressed an unknown object into her back.

Grimes says the suspect demanded she empty her purse on the couch, grabbed her wallet and ran out the side door.

She describes him as being between the ages of 19 and 27, 5'10", thin build, wearing all black clothing.
