Harris Co. Manhunt

Harris Co., GA (WXTX)-Authorities in Troup and Harris county are working to track down two men they say are part of a group that went on a local crime spree today.

Police say it all started early Friday morning in Troup County. They say four suspects from Atlanta rented a car and were riding down Interstate 85 and 185 looking for gas stations that were closed.

They tell Fox 54 the men broke into two gas stations in Troup County, busting out the windows and taking money and lottery tickets.

Troup County Sheriff's deputies notified neighboring Harris County and when a Harris County Deputy went to check on the closed Shell Mart off Highway 18 they found all four men coming out of the convenience store with stolen goods.

A chase started and when the suspects' rental car got onto the ramp going North on I-185 at Exit 34, all four bailed out.

Police brought in tracking dogs to search for them. One suspect was found in the woods behind the Shell Mart, another was caught hiding in the woods off Dennis Smith Road in Pine Mountain.

Two men are still at large. Search teams are still out looking for them.

The men face a bevy of charges, including burglary, fleeing and eluding and obstruction.
