COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A former Columbus Police Officer now finds herself on the other side of the law.

Twenty-two-year-old Shatoya Wright has been sentenced to six months time on a larceny charge.

Wright pled guilty back in July for her involvement in the robbery of the Wachovia Bank on Milgen Road in October of 2007.

She was working as a teller at the time and is believed to have given an accomplice advice on when and how to rob the bank.

She told the judge at her sentencing today, the crime wasn't her idea, but she was foolish enough to agree to it.

Three months after the robbery, Wright became a police officer. She has since resigned.
