Dodging for local Boy Scouts

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - There was some dodging and ducking going on at Columbus State's Lumpkin Center Saturday.

That was the site of the inaugural Columbus Corporate Dodgeball Tournament. It consisted of 60 teams and the winning one got a one thousand dollar cash prize and a trophy.

Teams kept their competive spirits going with some inspiration from hollywood.  Macon Road Vet Clinic's team player, Brad Thomas,  "yeah, last night we had a little team get-together. We watched the movie dodgeball, brought out a couple of wrenches, threw them at each other, ya know. Most of it will be spent to take a trip to the beach because we played in a cornhole tournament last week & won a free trip to panama city, so take that money & it'll be a little spending money down there."

The Tournament will now be an annual event.  All the proceeds went to the Chattahoochee Council Boy Scouts of America.
