COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Cooper Creek Tennis Center hosted the seventh annual Joie Paull Memorial Tennis Tournament at the Cooper Creek Tennis Center Sunday.

The tournament is in memory of Joie Paull, a much-loved local tennis player who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002.

This event is a way to honor her memory, but it also serves as a forum to educate and promote early detection of breast cancer to save lives.

"This year all the proceeds of the event are going to the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition to help women with breast cancer," said event organizer Lisa Neal.

WTVM's own tennis star Bruce Lee was there to show off his skills and help out the cause.
