Boys spearhead Snacks 4 Soldiers campaign

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -   Two boys are certainly serving as role models to their peers.

The brothers, from LaGrange, have decided to turn an annual Boy Scouts campaign into an entrepreneurial opportunity.  A chance to help our soldiers serving overseas.

Hunter and Fisher Brawner, 8 and 9-years-old, have started their own program called "Snacks 4 Soldiers." -- an expansion of the Boy Scouts annual popcorn campaign.

They've launched the Snacks 4 Soldiers website and set a goal to sell a 1000 tins of popcorn to be sent to our men and women serving overseas.

But the brothers still have a ways to go before reaching their goal. So far, they've sold less than a hundred tins of popcorn and the campaign is supposed to end Friday.

These selfless little entrepreneurs aren't discouraged

The boys even vow to continue their effort as long as they're involved in scouting.

If you'd like to help them with their snacks for soldiers, check out their website:
