COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  News Leader 9 has learned Jay Automotive will obtain part ownership of the Rob Doll Nissan franchise. Both Stelzenmuller and Doll have gotten the ball rolling with paperwork.

We talked to the Jay Stelzenmuller, the owner of Jay Auto Mall.  He says, essentially, the agreement would create a new corporation that would give Jay Automotive 51% of the company and allow Rob Doll to retain 49%.

According to Stelzenmuller, the intent is to acquire the Nissan franchise, which requires approval of the court and Nissan.

Under the intended structure, Doll would be the president and the general manager of Nissan.

The dealership would be housed at Jay Auto Mall in or near the Saturn dealership. There is also a possibility that Doll would be able to bring back some of the employees he has let go due to his chapter 11 status.

On Monday, December 7th,  all parties will appear in a court hearing before Judge T. Laney III of the Middle District of Georgia to outline all the details of the agreement.

Two motions will be heard on that day.

A motion for relief to lift the stay will be heard. Thirty days after a business files bankruptcy nothing can be done --  Doll wants that motion lifted.

And a motion for a portion of the sale of Rob Doll Nissan to be purchased by Jay Automotive will be presented to the court as well.

Again, Nissan must agree to the terms and conditions of above motions before anything can be finalized.

News Leader 9 is following this story. We'll have the latest information as soon as it becomes available.
