HARRIS COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - It was not really a tight race for the House Seat 129, but the winner of that election must win with 50% of the vote.

The leader of  the House race, Kip Smith came in with 49% of the vote.

Now, there will be a December 1st run-off between Smith and his closest challenger, Steve Earls.

"I'm grateful for the votes and the support we received. I focused on the future of our district and not where we've been, but where we're going and how we're going to enhance the quality of life for District 129," says Kip Smith.

"I'm happy to be in the position to continue the race and bring out the issues of maturity and experience and hoping the voters will actively participate," says Steve Earles.
